The
Specialist for Winter Sports Holidays to Switzerland for
Groups
The spectacular resort of Arosa
sits in a mountain bowl and is surrounded by high
peaks. This is a classic scene straight from a
brochure.
The quality of the ski area, the snow record and
true door step skiing make it a wonderful choice for
those who really like to just get up and go skiing.
Your arrival by train adds to the magic of this
alpine adventure, a very different arrival to that
of one of the first British tourists in Arosa, Sir
Arthur Conan Doyle in 1894. Doyle loved the area so
much he wrote about it on his return to Britain and
it soon became a popular destination for those early
pioneers of British skiing.
It is easy to see why people love the area so much.
As you stand by The Mountain Lodge, you can hear
skiers and boarders going by on the piste, the view
of which is only obscured by the magnificent tall
trees that surround you. When you and your
instructor are ready, you step in (or strap up) and
away you go.
The progression of slopes is fantastic, after only a
few days beginners will be able to ski back to the
lodge and if you master the basics, you can forget
about the ski bus each morning - smiles all round!!
The better skiers will love the runs from the top of
the Weisshorn and some of the runs off-piste in
Arosa are just awesome.
The terrain, a variety of slopes perfect for the
developing skier and one of the best snow records in
Switzerland makes this a fantastic destination.
Arosa is one of Switzerland's best loved ski resorts
and you can see why the Swiss are so proud of it
when you spend a little time in this wonderful town.
