Oberau Ski Packages

The Austrian ski resort of Oberau is situated in the Wildschönau Valley (translated as ‘wild’ and ‘beautiful’) close to the more well-known resorts of Kitzbühel and Mayrofen, and just 2 hours from Innsbruck. It’s a world away from city-life or big resort glamour though, as the smallest of the three main villages in the area - the others being Niederau and Auffach.
All three villages are linked by a bus service meaning skiers have access to a wide range of slopes and terrains and the area is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers.
Oberau is a traditional Austrian village, unspoilt and picturesque with chalet style buildings, making it a quiet and pretty base for your ski holiday.
Oberau has a total of 145km of pistes, with 66 runs in total. Over half are blue runs so beginners and families are well-served, and recent awards for the friendliest staff and well-kept pistes back this up. More advanced skiers may wish to head over to Niederau or even nearby Lanerköpf, which has some good black runs accessed via a chairlift from Niederau.
