Sauze d'Oulx for Friends and Families

Hotel La Torre

10th - 18th February 2023

The Accommodation

Built in 1937 by Fiat boss Giovanni Agnelli, Hotel La Torre was used until the early 1980s as a mountain retreat for Fiat employees and is one of Sauze’s most distinctive landmarks. It was built in an art deco style and still retains some of its unique features; an internal spiral walkway ( there are no stairs ) and a large glass roof. Single, double, three bedded and family rooms all with private facilities are available on each floor.

In the early ‘90s it was transformed into a hotel and today it is a reference point for winter and summer holidays in Via Lattea.

Perfectly located for a winter holiday, it is just 350m from the start of the ski slopes or if those ski boots are giving you too much trouble you can hop on the private minibus.

The Spa

Adjacent to the Hotel La Torre, stands the Spa available for a small extra cost.

A large heated pool, a Finnish sauna, a frigidarium with ice that falls in a cascade, a tepidarium in which to recover the right body temperature, a Turkish bath with balsamic
essences, a hot tub as well as aromochromatic showers and wellness cabins for treatments.

The Setting

The Via Lattea is a winter sports area straddling the French-Italian border. Better known to the British as the Milky Way, the Via Lattea covers all the skiing in Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, San Sicario, Claviere and Montgenèvre and is the biggest ski area in the Susa Valley with some 400 km of slopes. Situated at the northern end of this ski area, we find the vibrant town of Sauze d’Oulx perched on a sunny plateau.

As well as excellent skiing, the old centre of Sauze d'Oulx, with its cobbled streets, offers an attractive escape from the mountain when the ski legs start to get sore.

Sauze d’Oulx has an enviable winter sunshine record, a fantastic blend of Italian and French cuisine and culture and a backdrop of stunning panoramas making a great base from which to explore the Milky Way.
