The hotel restaurant caters for a variety of tastebuds with the plentiful breakfast buffet full of locally sourced meats, cheeses, and breads, this continues at dinner with a buffet of salad, vegetables, and delicious main courses. The kitchen prides itself on producing homemade delicious meals combining traditional Valtellina delicacies and unique regional flavours.
The Setting
When considering what resort to visit this winter it is easy to miss the 'hidden gems', authentic unspoilt mountain villages with lovely bars and restaurants, a ski system with an excellent variety of slopes, a great snow record, and a plentiful 115km of ski area, sometimes quality really does outweigh quantity!
The Skiing
Often referred to as 'Little Tibet', Livigno is a high-altitude, remote ski resort in Italy's Lombardy region. Located in a duty-free enclave, close to the Swiss border, this resort is so snow sure, their ski season normally lasts until May! Fast becoming one of the most exciting ski resorts in the Alps, Livigno is making a big name for itself since it has been confirmed as one of the venues for the 2026 Olympics.
The town itself sits in the valley where either side of you, the mountains rise up creating two separate ski areas, efficiently linked by free local buses that circulate the resort. The unique layout means there are dedicated areas and lifts for beginners, while the more experience skiers can head to the top and enjoy a huge range of on and off-piste.
