Proposed excursion to Venice
Your approach into Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) should give you a stunning view as you fly over the city and the surrounding waterways.
On arrival, you will be taken to your hotel to settle in, but the day is not yet over.
We can arrange a special evening visit to view St. Mark’s Basilica by Night for a unique and fantastic experience, with the opportunity to view areas normally closed to the public.
The church is dark, silent… you enter on tiptoe… Lights slowly go up and little by little the marvellous mosaics appear, gold sparkles in thousands reflections… It’s a unique experience, that eventually culminates with the visit of the crypt, which is normally closed to the public, and of the Golden Altarpiece, full of Byzantine enamels and precious stones.
On the following day we can arrange for you to see more of the spectacular sights of Venice as part of a professionally guided tour, which could include the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge or the Doge's Palace.
Following the morning activities, we propose lunch at a traditional Pizzeria to enjoy Italian pizza as it should be.
The afternoon will be your transfer by coach to your ski resort. We aim to get you in to resort with enough time to fit our your ski equipment, so you are fully prepared and ready for the first day of skiing and a fabulous few days in the mountains.
