Thanks to its proximity to the Dolomiti Superski ski area and the nearby Alpe di Siusi, Val Gardena is considered a true paradise for winter sports lovers. It is divided into 3 resorts – Ortisei (1236m), Santa Cristina (1428m) and Selva Gardena (1563m) - which offer a vast array of sport, artistic, and cultural activities against a backdrop of amazing natural beauty.

The valley is well-known for its rich tradition of hosting numerous international sports events, like the Alpine Ski World Cup. There are slopes for all ability levels thanks to nearly 175km of interconnected slopes served by more than 80 ski lifts and for cross country ski lovers there are 115km of trails.

Val Gardena has been given as many as 18 awards by the world's largest test portal for ski areas (Skiresort.info), designating it as a top ski area, top ski lifts, snow reliability, slope preparation, and variety of ski runs.

On your bucket list should be the Sella Ronda, one of the most famous ski carousels in the world. This unique ski tour runs over four Dolomite passes around the Sella massif. With 26kms of pure, unadulterated skiing fun made up of mostly reds and blues, that loops some of the most dramatic mountains in the Dolomites, the Sella Ronda offers one of the greatest spectacles in the World when it comes to alpine skiing.

The World's Best Ski Circuit
