Livigno, Hotel Vetta

The Accommodation - a dream come true
The Hotel Vetta is an extraordinary place, a hotel devoted to wellness, where a holiday takes on a new meaning: each suite is designed as an oasis of well-being, in which to relax and recover energy. Overlooking the mountains, surrounded by nature, the Vetta is the culmination of a project that has taken years. A secret dream that finally come true.

The Meals
Most 4 star hotels in Livigno operate on a Bed and Breakfast basis and this is the case with the Hotel Vetta and there is a very good reason why.
The cuisine on offer in Livigno resembles their history: a valley that has been isolated for a long time, opening up to many cultures without losing its own nature. Here you find the naturalness of local products, the traditional flavours of Alta Valtellina, the best of Italian food. A very wide mix on offer, from the best pizzas you can eat to authentic international cuisine all served with Italian warmth and style and surprisingly sensibl;y priced.
Participants will need to bring with them funds for their midday lunch on the mountain and their evening meal.
The Setting
When considering what resort to visit this winter it is easy to miss the 'hidden gems', authentic unspoilt mountain villages with lovely bars and restaurants, a ski system with an excellent variety of slopes, a great snow record, and a plentiful 115km of ski area, sometimes quality really does outweigh quantity!
The Skiing

Often referred to as 'Little Tibet', Livigno is a high-altitude, remote ski resort in Italy's Lombardy region. Located in a duty-free enclave, close to the Swiss border, this resort is so snow sure, their ski season normally lasts until May! Fast becoming one of the most exciting ski resorts in the Alps, Livigno is making a big name for itself since it has been confirmed as one of the venues for the 2026 Olympics.
The town itself sits in the valley where either side of you, the mountains rise up creating two separate ski areas, efficiently linked by free local buses that circulate the resort. The unique layout means there are dedicated areas and lifts for beginners, while the more experience skiers can head to the top and enjoy a huge range of on and off-piste.
