The Accommodation

The camp facilities are located in Schönried, Switzerland and housed in the Mountain Lodge, located 600 metres from the Schönried train station, in the heart of the world-renown ski resort of Gstaad.

The Mountain Lodge has 16 rooms which comfortably sleep 2 to 6 people and 2 additional group rooms which sleep ten. All rooms offers en-suite facilities and there is a spacious kitchen and dining room, a large terrace and an outdoor play area - perfect for sledding! It is outfitted with relaxing lounge areas, multi-purpose movie room, equipment storage area, and free internet access and parking.

The Setting

Gstaad in the Saanenland region is well-known to almost every traveller, in the same way as St Tropez or The Hamptons. Visitors can stroll around undisturbed in Gstaad along the traffic-free shopping mile with its boutiques and galleries.

The mix of Alpine authenticity, serenity and understated luxury makes it one of the best-known holiday destinations in Switzerland. In spite of its great fame, the village has remained down-to-earth.

You can still find them here – genuine Alpine villages. Chalets are a hallmark of the Saanenland. Their rich ornamentation and dusting of snow in winter makes these villages feel homely. You'll feel that you've come home when you sit in front of the crackling fire in the snug, warm chalet and watch the snowflakes dancing outside the window. Perhaps it is this harmony that has attracted so many families to Gstaad for many generations.
In spite of its wealth of tourist facilities, the holiday region of Gstaad has retained its Alpine authenticity. There are 200 farms, 80 working Alpine pastures and around 7,000 cows. Alpine traditions are lived and breathed and local produce is very popular.

The Skiing

Gstaad may be known for its glitz and glamour, but with five different ski areas, it makes for a fantastically varied resort offering something for everyone.

From the open areas of Eggli up to the snowsure high altitude slopes of Glacier 3000, Gstaad does not fall short to resorts such as St. Moritz, Courchevel, Megeve and Lech. The slopes in the ski area are well-groomed and suitable for all levels of difficulty.
