Pinzolo - Hotel Fiocco di Neve

"Our stay at Fiocco in Pinzolo was fantastic – so much so that we have already requested to stay there for our next ski trip, even though we had been skiing somewhere we thought was perfect for six years.

The rooms are snug, but the care and attention from the staff really blew us away. Marco and Matteo created such a welcoming atmosphere, and the food was incredible – so much delicious food that I didn’t lose weight on this ski trip! Even the evening activities, which raised eyebrows on paper, turned out to be really lovely, including a walk to Marco’s other restaurant and a visit for some very special homemade ice cream.

One of the biggest advantages was the ski lockers on the slopes organised by The Ski Company. Being able to wander down to the lifts in comfortable shoes without carrying skis and poles was a real game changer.

The ski school was great, with many students off the nursery slopes by the middle of the second day. Pinzolo may not be the largest ski area, but it offers more than enough for beginners and intermediates and links to Madonna di Campiglio.

After more than twenty years organising ski trips with large student groups, Pinzolo is certainly the closest we have found to a perfect resort."

The huge Dolomiti Super Ski region of Italy is located on the southern flank of the Alps offering great weather and one of the most beautiful mountainous regions in the world as recognised by UNESCO. It comprises of 12 valleys, 450 ski lifts with 1200 kms of piste.  We are visiting one of these valleys, the SkiAREA Campiglio Dolomiti Di Brenta and skiing in the resorts of Folgarida, Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo with 150 kms of piste.

The ski area alone has been given numerous awards by the world's largest test portal for ski areas (Skiresort.info), designating it as top ski area, with perfect scores for Variety of Runs and Resort Ski Size. With snow conditions during a season ever more of a concern it is also worth noting Skiresort.info's further awards (below), as well as the 1670 snow cannons covering 95% of the slopes.
