Sport Hotel Grimming
Schladming, Austria

The Accommodation

We shall be staying at the Sport Hotel Grimming in the village of Niederoblarn, a fifteen minute journey away from the ski slopes.

The Sport Hotel Grimming is as its name suggests a sport hotel and wellness centre with its own aerobics  hall, fitness centre, multi sports hall, alpine wellness facilities includuding a sauna, sanarium and steam bath, indoor tennis centre with three courts, it even has its own runway for flight training, sadly this will not form part of the activity package !

There are 45 rooms sleeeping 125 persons, all rooms come with private facilities.

The Setting

In one word, awesome. Ski Amadé is a region of Austria that is actually a network of 28 ski areas and towns, that when combined, make up the largest ski area in Europe.

It is named after guess who?  Right: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who was born in the city of Salzburg. There are 860 km of downhill slopes, 278 modern ski lifts, more snow cannons than you can count and even a glacier, this region will captivate you with its wealth of options, hospitality and charisma.

The Skiing

The Ski Amadé is a huge ski area and your ski pass covers all 860 kms of skiing, however most of the week will be spent skiing the The Hauser Kaibling region, 189 kms of piste in the Schladming 4-mountain ski complex.

Here you have more than enough skiing for the week, but if you have groups of good intermediates or advanced skiers why not take advantage of the ski pass and visit another area, perhaps drop the beginners and early intermediates off to ski the Schladming complex, collect your instructors and go spend a day in Flachau with another 120 kilometres of connected slopes at Snow Space Salzburg ?
