The Accommodation
If you're looking for the ideal ski destination that combines fabulous views, perfectly groomed slopes and relaxation after a day on the mountain, Val di Sole is the place to be. This picturesque corner of northern Italy, literally translated as "Valley of the Sun", will win the heart of any winter sports enthusiast.
The hotel is located on the mountainside in Folgarida, surrounded by snow-topped pine trees and incredible views of the mountain and valleys, and a very short walk of 100m to the ski lifts.
Inside, the bedrooms are traditional and snug, with wood-panelled walls to add that cosy cabin feel, and come with all the necessary comforts.
If you're a bit of a socialite, there is plenty of space for mingling - from the large bar area to the spacious games room with pool tables, billiards and lots of comfy seating. If you prefer spending your time unwinding, however, then head down to the sauna for some relaxation.
And we can't forget about the restaurant – an intimate and attractive space adorned with wooden beams. Located on the top floor of the hotel, it affords great views of the alpine scenery. On top of the friendly service, there’s a wide choice of local and international dishes.

The Setting
Folgarida is a quiet, small resort with all the purpose-built convenience that you could wish for, the resort is attractive as it’s been carefully designed to be in keeping with its traditional village roots - a great destination for school groups looking for an excellent range of ski slopes amongst breathtaking scenery. We think the Folgarida - Marilleva - Madonna di Campiglio - Pinzolo ski circuit is one of the best in Europe.
The Skiing

The "Folgarida-Marilleva" lift pass is valid for 63 kilometres of piste between 1,300 and 2,180 metres above sea level and is almost perfect for beginner skiers - nothing is perfect but this place is very close! There is a small beginner zone on the outskirts of town and another up the gondola at Malghet Aut. Above this there is great progression on to longer blues and reds around Monte Spolverino.

In addition to predominantly easy and intermediate descents of Folgarida and Marilleva a direct connection to the famous Madonna di Campiglio for those who have skied before adds an additional 58 km of skiable terrain, Madonna Di Campiglio is one of the largest ski resorts in the Italian Alps, making it a premier destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
